Did virgin install the hub?
Have you phoned them to activate it?
They need the mac address, all instructions come with the new hub.
You can't use just any hub as it's locked to your account

If they supplied a new hub and activated it, you have to use that.
The old one won't work any longer because it's not tied to your account
Why do you want to use the non-working one?
I went through as a new customer to get a batter deal I should have left it was never experienced such issue. Checked shop, websafe, different net ID, update provider file, check line, change emulator, reflashed box started from scratch.. reload softcam..
