Openatv 5.3 updates enquiry

Hi all this is my first post just acquired a zgemma h2s box came pre loaded with openatv 5.3

When I go to Blue button, software manager, software update, software panel comes up with 55 updates available but can't see any details of them the screens blue but top right hand corner says updates available 55 and that's it?

Do I need to do these and how do I if they are nowhere to be seen?

Also is my build self updating as in currently 5.3 what do I do when this changes to 5.4 etc?

Also forgot to mention is it worth adding picons to channel list I have picons preview using sky q skin but not channel list and how is this done if I do decide to do it for channel list?

When 5.4 gets released it will require a full reflash
If your box is working fine at the moment I would leave the updates alone as their are a few issues with them.
Also if you haven't done so already you should do a full backup of your box to a USB stick and keep it safe for those oh shit moments ;)
