OpenVIX Newcomer

I'm trying to install Openvix on a zgamma start 2 box. Following helpful instructions provided on another thread (ZgemmaStar 2s(&H1) Vix 153 11.03.2015 sucmnsee - Downloads - TechKings) but having problems. Just checking to see if these instructions are still valid or may have changed in any way. Thanks......

You may be better off with an OpenATV image now as
the Vix team have blocked all the plugins menus.

Maybe a Whoosh build or something like that.

Currently using Vix, plugins menu seems to be working, is OpenATV a better option? Are there more skins available and is it a better system?
