One way of getting your iptv EPG full is to get the channel reference code for the channel. And what can come with the code? Yea picons.
And if anyone has used picons.eu. And installed one of their packs. You know it have 5000 odd picons with it
These do a lot of channels.
These codes also link to the EPG data.
This is for European channels really
How to
Go to https://www.picons.eu/
Go to downloads
Go down the page to srp and download an ipk or tar.xz
Select one of them might as well go to small ones. As long as you can see it
Download
Extract
Open up and start looking through the picon
Find the one you want
Copy the file name all but the extension
Should look like this
1:0:1:15b2:7fd:2:11a0000:0:0:0
Every channel will be different
You don't need the the first 1: at the start
So it will end up looking like this
0:1:15b2:7fd:2:11a0000:0:0:0
Go to your box and open up your original or converted file your agent sent you
I would make a backup first just incase
If it's on your box it will be at etc/enigma2
Mine are made in to bouquet files, so that's a .tv file. This should work on any of them
Once open
You will see a long list of channels looking like this
#SERVICE 4097:0:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3A/url/username/password/channel Id.m3u8
#DESCRIPTION Channel name
You are looking to swap the bold section with the code you got from the picon file
So once you done that it will look like this below
#SERVICE 4097:0:1:15b2:7fd:2:11a0000:0:0:0:http%3A/url/username/password/channel Id.m3u8
#DESCRIPTION Channel name
Once done save it ftp it over the one on the box
etc/enigma2
Restart gui
This is where it can be different on your box, video use EPGimport, crossepg I have no idea
So once back open epgimport
Go to sources
Select the country the channel is from
Do a manual scan
And if done right your EPG should be filled for that channel
But the real point of this is to make a database of channel references for people to use
So if you have any to share please do. Or a better way to do
