Poor sound

I have a VU duo 2 setup and the sound seems very poor and I have to have the TVs on quite high to hear the content.

Any my idea to make it better.

For exampe, watching a download from a firestick I use to volume 20 but when using the VU box I have to have on 45.

What image are you using? When watching media it's ok, on SD channels its loud and on HD - 5.1 its slightly quieter. VIX

different things might be recorded lower as i notice even on kodidirect i have to up the volume to listen to external sources.
how is quality of recorded tv downloads to hdd?
