Former Queens Park Rangers defender Danny Shittu has returned to the Championship-topping London club on a short-term contract.
The 30-year-old, who made 182 appearances for Rangers during a five-year spell between 2001 and 2006, has signed until the end of the season.
Shittu's 93-day contract at Millwall ended earlier this week.
QPR's manager Neil Warnock told the club website: "I felt we were maybe one body light in the central defensive area."
Warnock continued: "We've got to look at every avenue for the last 19 games of what could be the most important period in the club's recent history.
"Dan wanted to come here and I wanted to get him, so it was a no-brainer in that respect. He knows the club inside out and can't wait to get started.
"I've not signed him just because he's a club legend, I've brought him in because I feel he's very capable of doing a job for us."
Shittu expressed his delight at returning to Loftus Road, commenting: "I'm excited and emotional to be back here.
"Everyone knows this is my home. I've got a lot of friends here and the fans know how I feel about them.
"I've been through a lot of highs and lows at QPR, but the place is buzzing at the moment and I can't wait to pull on the Rangers shirt and give my all."
