Randomly losing Tuner A

I randomly lose tuner a on my h2s. When I go into it, no signal showing etc, Tuner B works fine.

Strange thing is all I do is restart my box and tuner a starts working again and the signal strength etc is perfect, BBC 1 for example is around 98% and sky channels are around 75-85%.

All I do is restart the box to get tuner a back I don't touch any cables etc. Probably happens about once every 2-3 weeks.

Any ideas? If it were the dish/wiring/lnb wouldn't it go off all the time?
 
Sounds like some sort of short from the lnb?

Have you swapped tuner A to B cable and test and see how that gets on?
There arent any exposed cable wires on the connections right?
and on the dish end the connections are fine and not exposed to the elements?
 
I have swapped a and b round and I'm going to see how it goes. No exposed cables into the box. No idea about the dish I have no ladder to get to it. I think it may be time to replace the lnb...great...it's not even 2 years old.

I had a similair issue with mine 6months back and found the root cause was exposed cable wires touching each other....just stripped them back and re-connected and havent had an issue so far....Good luck
