Recording problems

Hi, experiencing problems whilst watching and Recording.I can record no problem, however when I watch another channel, it becomes unresponsive. Can't pause, r/w slow to change channels. Blue circle timer appears top left of the screen. Using the latest wooshbuild, recording via 64 gb stick on rear of box.
