i have a problem with my vu+ duo2 which i have twin turner with 4 sat cables going into but for some reason i can only record the same channel im watching any ideas or clues to why this might be and all my sat cables are brand new i only installed new a week ago and they have no breaks in them

Have you set the box so that it knows it has 4 feeds in the tuner set up?
are you seeing the 4 tuners on the device list?
 
ok try this on a channel you want to record say sky1 at 23.00 press the red button on remote scroll to that program and green button -record once-green button again to confirm.you should see icon on your epg that you have setup a recording.
got to a different channel and when recording starts you will get notification saying whatever you set to record.
