ring tone on iphone

thanks noelyf thats a great tutorial i think i know whats wrong .when i open i tunes and open iphone as in the tutorial on the video it has summery info apps ringtones music movies tv shows photos,when i open on my itunes there is no ringtones there ,what do you think.

DID IT!!!

what i was not doing was the bit that said folder options and unchecking those boxes!


Noely in your steps ( which i know is not yours) it does not mention the bit about going to folder options and unchecking the 2 boxes. Which is why both Babs and me could not drag it into our itunes. As soon as i watched the vid and followed the instructions of what to do with the folder options it worked.

So if anyone has tried Noels step that he found elsewhere just be aware if it doesnt work, it maybe due to the step that the origional author left out!

Maybe you could edit that post to add that so us ladies dont get confused :)

For people that maybe getting confused with Tones and Ringtones - its the same file. On the newer version of itunes it is just labeled Tones not ringtones any more see screenshot above of my itunes and my phone

and the 2 new songs ive just added

whilst i was doing screenshots i decided to do a screenshot of the folder options and highlighted the boxes that you must UNCHECK!

UNCHECK the highlighted boxes, then click apply, OK when you have finished you can always go back and recheck the boxes, apply, ok

at last iv got the tune i want .i followed your video from the start again noelyf and it worked .thank you and linny silly me
