Whilst these boxes are advertised as having 1GB RAM, I've read quite a bit about them having a lot less available to the operating system. Could anyone who owns one running a recent version of Vix post the output of:

    cat /proc/meminfo

Or a screenshot from within the system info? This is the only thing putting me off a purchase now...

Is this the info you want?

Perfect sir, thank you! That's only a third of a GB then.

Presumably you're happy with the performance of the box as it is though?

Yes, very happy with it. I use it as my main box and never had a problem with it.
@southsimon why are you selling yours?

Awesome, that's good to hear! One other thing I've forgotten to check (but I assume is true) - does Picture in Picture (and probably more importantly) Audio Picture in Picture work? Would be good for playing 5 Live from 28.2 over another channel for sport purposes...

PiP works fine. I don't know about audio, not something I've ever needed.
Standard PiP just gives you the picture, no sound.

Great stuff - I expect the audio pip plugin ought to work fine if the box supports pip in general (unlike my current zgemma).

Just tried PiP and there's no audio option in the standard setup.

Yeah there's a separate Audio PiP plugin that's available to download. I've installed it on my box but no idea how to actually use it as it needed full PiP support.

I'll have to give it a go.
That will annoy Mrs Willo if I've got both ears busy!

Excellent choice !! I have decided not to sell mine now, it is a quality box after all. :)

Good choice, one of the best on the market imo.
I've pimped mine up with an extra usb cable tuner stuck in rf out to make it a quad.

Which tuner is it you're using out of interest? Combo job or dedicated DVB-C?
