Small vertical lines

Hi I have a mag 256 running latest firmware my box is left on standby but every few days I get small vertical lines on the picture screen with a little fuller picture quality if I unplug the power lead and reboot the box this sorts it out for a few days or so has anyone come across this before or know what is causing it

Had a similar problem with magbox and by a process of elimination I found the lines disappeared by using an alternative hdmi connection to the tv. It cured the problem immediately was nothing to do with the magbox.

Thanks for the info I will get another hdmi at weeknd & give it a try. hope it is that & not to he box

Hang on, in my instance it was a case of replugging the existing hdmi lead into an alternative hdmi inlet on the tv - not to replace the lead. I was told faulty hdmi connections is a common problem on Samsung & LG tv's.
