I have a triax multiblock lnb holder.
I have 3 Alps LNB's for 13e, 16e and 19.2e
I have altered the bracket that fits the holder to the dish arm, allowing me to set a LNB central.

My question looking down the dish arm to the LNB's on the holder.

will a set up of LNB's 16e centre 13e left and 19e right with 28.2e

Looking down the arm in the sky above from right to left 13e, 16e, 19e and 28.2e

thanks for any help and advice.

This is what you have to do to get the sats, and I believe you turn the triax holder updside down. Look closely at pic. This is from 2007:fearscream: Its not my pic but it does work. I got a motorised a few days later. I still have bullet lnb's and the holder. And the one further right is 28e

Thank you for your reply bmitie.
looking at the plc's not sure about the upside down as the centre screw to the lnb holder bar looks in the up right position.

I have modified the bracket holding the lnb holder bar to allow a lnb to be central.

I have yet to set up the dish in position, as Ineed to alter fence supports to fix dish to the back of my garage.

the pictures show an example of holder on the lnb arm of 80cm dish.

Thats a clever mod but I still think the holder should be turned up the other way as 28east is quite high BUT the signal is so strong now it may make no difference.

Let us know how you get on and dishpointer com will give you dish elevation/

It will make a difference as the + and - value off the bracket needs to be correct to
recieve the highest s.n.r on the postive side off the transponders

following the instructions manual I downloaded and using the diagrams.
I will be able to get the + and - , also I will still be able to use the holding screw.

I will be using brackets and mast pole on my garage back wall.

Because my house has a 4 inch insulation all round , putting brackets to the house wall would mean a lot of fuse. I will disconnect one of the cables from my sky dish quad lnb and connected to that cable to get into the house to the receiver from a diseqc 4way switch.

Very important if your fitting a t.k set to have the pole sitting at 90° All round I use
Digitial levler for accuracy I use 19.2 east
as the prime focus l.n.b some installers use
13east as the prime focus l.n.b There is s measurement table for the position off the
L.n.b holders in reference to the transponders You measure the distance form the center off the bracket to the edge off each l.n.b holder If you are 100% accurate with the installation The + and - value off the bracket should line up with
all the transponders in the ark For example you should be receiving s.n.r with 28.2E Astra 2E/2F/2G 80% + With the 4×1 Disqce switch , what ever transponder you connect to port A will remain active if the Disqce switch ever faults I usually connect the weaker transponder to port A This is one off my installations at home

linesman66 thank you for your useful post.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I will be mounting the dish on my garage when I completed fence support modifications.

I have used the table from the triax multiblock lnb holders instruction manual I downloaded as a starting point for setting the lnb position on the lnb holder arm.

I am still in the process of setting up a multi-lnb 19.2e 16e 13e and 28.2e.

Because of a mixture of work commitments and bad weather things have gone slowly.

I have tried a triax multi lnb holder set up and recived singles from above satellites.

As I am still in experimental stage I have also tried a set up with Triax multiblock lnb for 19.2e 16e and 13e with a lnb for 28.2.

Items used

Multiblock lnb 19.2e 16e 13e

Lnb 28.2e

Euro pipe clips 1x 35mm for Lnb 28.2e, 15mm.

1x fully pass through 3 way splitter.

1x 4way disqc switch.

Set up from lnb’s cable from multiblock lnb to in connection on splitter.

Cables from the 3 out connectors on splitter to ports1,2,3 on disqc switch.

Cable from 28.2e lnb to port 4 on disqc switch.

On reciver 16.e set to port 1, 13.e to port 2, 19.2e to port 3 and 28.2e to port 4.

I need a little fine adjustment for final set up.

Do you have a link to the Euro pipe clamps you bought / used ?

The link above from Urie I got mine from there.

Just a note used 10mm threaded bar to join euro clips. or cut the head of a 10mm bolt.

If you have a 23mm slim Lnb you can use a smaller euro pipe clip on that Lnb for 28.2

Currently I am using a zone2 mini dish, with a universal multi-lnb holder, trying to get 13E (unsuccessfully), 19.2E (great) and 28.2E (not perfect but good enough except in heavy rain) with an Inverto Black Ultra Twin (13E), Golden Media 202 (19.2E) and a Dur-line UK 124L3 (28.2E).

No matter what I do, I can't get 13E with this setup, it seems to pickup 13E, 10E and 9E (weak signals on all 3) which I assume is because I can't get the lnb close enough to 19.2E (dish is pointed at 19.2), and being a multi-focal dish just makes the problem worse.

I do also have an 80cm Triax doing nothing with a Triax Multiblock lnb holder, when I used this, I could get 13E and 19.2E without issue but 28.2E wasn't good.

So I am wondering if I can get away with doing the same as you have, using the triple monoblock lnb, re-align the zone2 dish on 16E and gain an extra sat out of it, but not sure if the multi-focal dish would still be an issue in this scenario, though in theory (in my head atleast) it should be less of an issue.

Hi Cokeaddict,

You could try on the 80cm dish.
Set 16e on the single lnb holder also put a empty lnb holder from the triax multi holder over the 16e lnb.
Then put the rail of the triax multi holder through the lnb holder ( then this may be used in the same way as holder in picture)
Then put the other lnb holders for 19.2e and 13e on triax multi bracket rail.

I was considering doing exactly that, but on the mini dish leaving it pointed at 19.2E (only considering 16E because of the triple feed lnb, but not overly bothered about 16E otherwise), my thinking the curve in the bar might help to get 13E as it "should" in theory point that lnb slightly closer to the 19.2E lnb.
