Tuner B question

I have just put another wire into the box.
First of all. Is tuner a and b side by side, at the back of the box. If so what is lnb in.
I have my wires in tuner a and tuner b.
If I select programs to record will the box automatically know which tuner to use.

As you look from back of box should be Top left and bottom right Bottom left is Loop
