Updates from C4E on the fall2010 dashboard update from #FW@EFnet:

I just updated to the new dash and have not been banned this time round im pleased to say.
I had my drive flashed back to stock, XVal reported that secdata was clean but people say that it is safe to update your console even with LT flashed to the drive.
Still as C4E says he is working on the LT+ for ALL drives that need the LT+ firmware i wont be flashing back to ixtreme until this is done as new releases will have th AP(Anti Piracy) 2.5 check which WILL flag the console and get you banned.

Thank the heavens for C4EVA is all ill say!!!

the LT+ firmware will be to overcome the realtime checks and anti piracy checks which c4e has stated that he has already overcome this.

He's had a head start on this so i couldnt see it taking as long as other firmware has, hopefully :)
 
so is it recommended to put back to stock before download or can u just download the dash update and u be fine /// thanks in advacnce
 
I think that is what axxxo has done, but i will leave it to him to answer your question as i am only a beginner at this
 
As far as know the dash update doesnt contain anything that detects firmware of the drive as c4e states its only standard checks but it wouldnt hurt to flash back to stock. I would however leave it at stock as the newer releases may have the ap2.5 check which wont boot on ixtreme unless you have a samsung TS-H943A ms25/ms28 (that drive doesnt support the ap2.5 check) and wait for LT+ to be released, doubtful its going to be this side of christmas though that we'll see it.
You will fail the AP 2.5 check and be flagged for a ban.

You can download Xval from here, go to to your system settings on the dashboard, enter your consoles serial number and the X code and see if you have been flagged for a ban before you update the dashboard.
If you do get secdata is clean this does not mean that you havent been flagged on the server side.

thanks wht games do we know of yet tht will be ap 2.5 do we knw just so i dnt get thm is all if we flashed back to stock and bought the original games wud we still get flagged tho whilist still on stock firmware i knw fable 3 has it but i was just wondering if u had original disk and drive back to stock cud u do the update on it tht is required to be played online ????? thanks again for the info
 
No you shouldnt get flagged when the drive is stock and the game is original.Infact C4E has stated that LT is still safe on the new dash with backups that dont have AP2.5 but to be honest i wouldnt risk it until the new LT+ is released.
Ive no idea what games are ap2.5 bar fable 3. I think there maybe two others at the moment but ive been told myself that to be ultra safe just wiat for LT+ and assume everything is AP2.5.

Further news on the recent news from C4e is that SPOOFED drives will have to be replaced with a drive that was originally in the xbox as the ap2.5 is checking the osig between drive and motherboard.
Bummer for ALOT of people i would imagine!
 
Where Xval is showing a clean result is a good thing, from what we have learned before this does not mean that the xbox hasnt been flagged on the server side

Id like to ask c4e myself will he wait until a banwave arrives to release LT+ but its hit and miss to be on the same irc channel as him when he decides to pop on.
I would still be worried about the xval reporting clean on the xbox itself but c4e's the pro so im sure he knows what he's doing.

Firmware is being tested at the mo so we're very close to a release

C4E has announced that LT+ will be released in a few hours for Benq and (FAT) Liteons, slim not yet.
No update on pastebin to copy to here but the topic on the IRC channel is that the package for LT+ is being prepared.
Happy days, didnt expect it this soon.
