If the drive is empty or backed up, make sure its not got any partition on it.
Unplug all usbs from box.
turn off box.
plug in hdd to rear.
turn on box.
wait until fully booted.
menu
setup
system
storage devices
initialisation.
select the drive
red to initialise. select yes/ok.
Wait for screen message to disappear.

Then check to see is it showing different details in vix/mount manager.

Sorry for repeating but its just a checklist and I cant think of anything else sorry dude. Just in case
