Hi, as a newbie with zero Tech. knowledge of my new V9s openbox I need some basic connecting info.
1/ Told by my supplier that provided that I use only one device at any one time I can use a 2way splitter to connect both the Sly box and the V9s box to the Dish LNB.
2/ My problem is that I find that I have 2 leads coming from the LNB to "Dish imput 1" and "Dish imput 2" on the Sly box.
3/ Which of these imputs ("1"or"2") do I connect the 2way splitter to.
Thanks for any help.
 
Bad Idea to use splitters, Best to run a new cable direct from your LNB on the dish straight to box - if you are not bothered about recording on your Sly Box
you can use The Dish input 2 cable as this is only used for the recording side of your sly Box

you can use both devices and switch from your V9 to sly box
 
tell your supplier he is an idiot you never add a splitter into sat connections unless you want to blow something,live power comes through sat cables and oooo i forgot may happen .play it safe add more cables as required and/or upgrade lnb if needed.
