Hi All

Totally puzzled with this one, daughters laptop which was working great until yesterday when all she gets when she tries to connect to the wifi is this message:


"wifi doesn't have a valid ip configuration"

can anyone help me out hopefully its something I can fix with your.

you need to go to adapter settings, right click on the adapter, properties, then click on tcp/ipv4 and click properties, make sure all ip and dns are set to automatic, then click accept an do the same for tcp/ipv6 and click accept, it should then work. then do a scan on you pc for malware
 
Thanks for that, I will take a note of this however I connected to the router via Ethernet and then went into command prompt and entered ipconfig/release then ipconfig/renew

I will however check the adapter properties and do as you say
