wireless usb adapter with skybox

Hi,
Without meaning to sound like a complete numpty I'm going to . . . . .well sound like a complete numpty!!!

I have a skybox f5 which is a great little box in my opinion.
All working nicely apart from the big long wire runiing across my house lol.

I have a wireless usb adapter which I hoped to plug into the skybox to get rid of the ugly wire.

My broadband and router are provided by Talk Talk.

My question is how do I set up the wireless adapter to talk to my router from the skybox?
Do I have to make some changes to the router settings to identify the adapter?

Any help would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks

Get a set of homeplugs this will give you what you need and also the advantage of hard wired as well !!

Put your WiFi dongle in the box.

Menu - Network Local Setting - Network Setting

on the right hand side of the screen is the WiFi
settings.

Sorry I can't give you anymore info as it will
wipe my LAN setup if I start messing about.
And I haven't got the WiFi dongle so I couldn't finish
it off anyway.

Choose "Active" and let it wipe your Lan settings and reboot.

I am guessing, but I wouldn't be surprised if after that you just
go into "set up" or "wifi manager" and enter the password on the side of your
router.

Like allowing an Ipod or laptop access to your home internet

If you do find you are getting signal drop at your box by going WiFi (Glitchy Picture)
I would go homeplugs, cheap ones will work fine
no need to pay extra for fast ones.
