Wreckage found on a beach on the island of Curacao is being examined to determine if it is that of a plane that disappeared last month with Italian fashion executive Vittorio Missoni on board.
Mr Missoni is the eldest son of the founders of the Missoni fashion house.
He disappeared along with his wife and four others when their plane went missing off the coast of Venezuela in early January.
Italian investigators later said the airline that owned the plane was not fully licensed to operate.
The pilot's licence had expired more than a month before the flight.
