Hi, Was thinking would it be possible to back up all my settings on my box and store it on a usb drive then flash the copy on my mates xtrend.

you could do that but any bugs onboard will also be transferred to his box including your line details,i find setting up from scratch better or use the new adapted images on tk for the 8500 if thats what he has.
