Zgemma box dead

Hi guys I have a Zgemma star 2s box and it’s completely dead no power to it at all, if I was to buy the same box again would the external HD plug straight in and work? I have a few good programs on there I havnt watched yet. Thanks Craig

have you tried a different power supply to the Zgemma?
they're prone to failure after a long time, you can get a 5a one from ebay for about £7

too many people say there boxes are dead without changing power supply or a simple fuse change

Good shout, I’ll see if there’s another adapter around the house, I’ve seen a few when I’ve been looking for other things

there old boxes mate thats why i do it mate once warrenty ran out

Just tried the power source off my watch wonder and it worked

5 amp is very high i might have said 3as the higher you go the more chance of a fire?

I’ve got the box plugged in but there’s no channels at all, the HD works fine but when I select a channel nothing happens?

Probably need to do a rescan of channels have you got lnbs in tuner a and b

Sorry mate but you’ve lost me by here I’m not very tech savvy lol, I’ve downloaded the EPG and restarted the box but it’s still the same, all I got is a screen saying ipab tv

Would try network test first.Ipab is old

You need lnbs from the satellite to go to the back of the box one lnb in tuner a and one in tuner b to receive signal from the dish for your channels

Have you put them diagonally from each other and not side by side or as @cactikid has mentioned reflash with a new image ipab is dead and gone now mate

Check back of box and make sure one in tuner a and one in tuner b and not loop out but here is a guide to reflash

On the box tuner a and b are side by side I’ve just changed them and waiting to see what happens
