Zgemma H2 question re LNB and Cable

Hi I'm a total newbie and have a question:

Do I have to keep a subscription up with the company that I want to connect.

Basically, I have the LNB from my dish and also currently until disconnection as I have given notice a line for cable. If I wanted to connect cable to my zgemma box with the aid of a connector, would I need to keep the basic package?

Any advice gratefully received.

You just need cables from dish, Internet and a line (gift) Code that goes inside the zgemma

You need your VM line to be active as well so best to keep some sort of service with VM because if they disconnect the line at the green box it won't work. With the satellite you just need the dish.
