Saab 9-3 alarm doesn't like the heat

I bought a Saab 9-3 vector early last year but after a month or so (late April/May time) whenI locked the car with the remote the alarm would start going off randomly. I took it to a 'Saab Specialist' and he suggested it could be one of the remotes randomly setting off the panic alarm and I should remove the battery from one remote and just use the other and if it continues try the other way round. That proved not to be the issue as in the end I locked the car and then removed the batteries from both remotes and the alarm still went off. It gradually got worse as the weather got warmer and in the end I could only lock the car by manually pushing the button down as I shut the door as the alarm was going off as soon as I locked it with the remote. I went back to the 'Saab Specialist' and asked him to disable the audable alarm so that I could at least lock it without annoying the neighbours but he refused saying it would nullify my insurance.

Towards the end of the year I just used the remote to lock the car for some reason rather than press the buttons down and the car locked and no alarm went off, all through the winter it was fine, I could lock and unlock the car with the remote and it behaved itself. Then during the spring of this year, when the weather started warming up the issue started to return and again now I can't use the remote to lock the car because as soon as I do the alarm goes off.

I don't have a tech2 to look into it myself, probably wouldn't know what I was looking for to be honest if I did have one, but are their any Saab owners here that have had similar issues? if so how did you fix?

Wait for winter again grog and no more issues (y)

Failing that could be one of the door lock actuators not working correctly and telling the control unit that one of the doors is open
hmm might have to find someone to do that for me, soldering irons and I are not a good combination lol

Hi bro I own a Saab 9-3 and a tech2 , are you still having issues? I know some real Saab technicians who would probably help, would you like me to ask ? Now are all your doors closing off fob if yes not door actuator, now this may seem nuts but true the health of your battery the vehicle one if it drops below certain voltage it creates weird problems from alarm kickoff to airbag warning lights. Right behind battery is a lead going to bonnet plunger check that to see if corroded or broken. If you need more help let me know I will pm you and send over my email kind regards Eddie
