Which mag box?

Hi I'm currently running iptv on a zgemma h2h and thinking of getting a mag box. I've had a look round and just wanted to know which boxes are the best and which ones to avoid. Any thoughts will be appreciated

I would not go for a mag box these days mate there's a lot more better boxes out there are like fire sticks Android boxes and if you could afford it shield

What's the userability like on a shield. Want a decent epg and something that's simple and straight forward
The Nivida Sheild 2019 TV

You can not really call it a box more a tube but don't be fooled inside

2 gig ddr4 Ram
On board storage 8GB which can be expanded with a micro SD card.
processor Tegra x1

The sheild is currently running on android version 9.0 pie

It can run on both wireless channels 2.4ghz and 5.0 Ghz also has a gigabit lan port.

It updates playlists and epg pretty much instantly scrolling through channel lists is lightning fast changing from stream to stream is instant.

It currently supports 4k and upto 60 FPS for gaming

Other good points: 4k upscaling, Match frame rate feature, Dolby Atmos. You can install unsupported apps via downloader.

The control is a strange shape with only about 11 buttons but again don't be fooled it will still do the same as some of those controls with 30 buttons.

There are no real downsides of buying a sheild however, it can be quite rightly argued that it is overkill just to watch IPTV.

The sheild TV comes in at £150 however, if you are savy you can get one for around 135.

There is only one comparison to be made and that will be the shield
cheers to mike123 for the review

I would deffinatly avoid mags to many codec issues for my liking there are numerous options for devices ect but comes down to budget and what you are after and wanting from the device

I thought these were the perfect solution as they are specifically for IPTV? Not my own thoughts by the way.

So are MAG boxes no use?

Never had any codec issues with a MAG box, but have had many with Android. Too many variables with Android, personal opinion.

Only problem I've got with mag is audio stuttering on one of them, but this is down to the Samsung TV in that room as I have no other issues elsewhere.
If you go the shield/stick route, Tivimate is by far the best app and I'm sure others would agree.

100% mate Tivimate very good app for a shield

For those who still prefer the mag box skin I recommend TVIP 605 as it acts exactly like a mag box and is a 4k box and does not get issues like mag boxes.

Other boxes which do the same and are hybrid boxes is the Xsarius Q2 which u can decide to emulate a nag box or use the similar mytvonline app.
