Adding Line To Technomate

I had the old Technomate 5402 which went belly up I could put cc cam lines in this when i bought the updated version I fouind i could not put them in this can anybody in the northwest help I am willing to travel as far north as Carlisle and as far south as Manchester to get this sorted if not can somebody download the software needed to a memory stick and explain how I install it in my box it is the Technomate 5402 MK4
 
Hi mate here is the software you need. I'll try and find out what the procedure is to flash the box. manic01 is ya man to tell you how to flash the box i'll point him in your direction.

Are you hoping to put clines in it for 28e uk tony ?

If it's just a normal C line for sat or euro sat it goes in Ccam.cfg file, use FileZilla to send it to the box from your computer/laptop, takes two minutes

what is your location if you are in the northwest or yorkshire could I bring my receiver to you so you can set it up a never had this trouble with my old technomate this MK 4 is a pain

You are replying to your own posts.
You don't need to take your receiver anywhere, you can do it yourself in a few minutes or someone can do it for you remotely if you have a laptop or computer
 
So it needs channel lists and all that caper?
C lines don't work on it?
I thought Viark etc had subscription built in, how is it supposed to be added later if not preinstalled?
 
The Viark and all the Forever type boxes which there are many have a inbuilt server yes. But they can also run lines if you wish to.
 
No idea by usb but onscreen in server menu but method is different on various forever type boxes

There is more info on this box on another forum, I've sent you some links.
Seems there are numerous problems with this receiver.
If you install the last 2 firmwares you loose "Forever" server.
Last firmware with Forever working was in July - TM-5402_M4_050721.bin

Found this on entering lines manually.
Installation
Server
Select slot 1
Press GREEN to enable server
Enter your details ( IP/URL - PORT - Des Key (if req) - User name - Password - Server type Newcs/Mgcamd/Gscam or CCCam)
Select Confirm and press OK
Select SAVE when prompted
Do this for all lines you have on different slots where needed.

Can you not just load the firmware & lines by USB the same way as you did on your old Technomate.

Load the July firmware first.

These are instructions for older Technomate receivers.

Loading firmware - Patching the receiver to allow the addition of clines

Transfer the .stb file onto the USB key. Insure only the .stb file is on the USB key.
Insert the USB key into the receiver.
Press menu button & choose “USB/External Device” option.
Use across arrow choose “USB Up/Down/File manager” & press “ok” button.
Using down arrow highlight “.stb” file & press “ok” button.
“Are you sure” window will be displayed, choose yes option & press “ok”.
“Don’t power off STB – Writing – successfully completed” will be displayed if the file has been successfully downloaded to the receiver.
Receiver will go through the reboot process.
When the receiver reboots a “Test screen” will be displayed.
Press the number 8 button & press down arrow & the receiver will reboot again.

Loading a cline via USB

Transfer the Cccam.cfg file onto the USB key.
Insert the USB key into the receiver.
Press menu button & choose “USB/External Device” option.
Use across arrow & choose “USB Up/Down/File manager” & press “ok” button.
Using down arrow highlight “Cccam.cfg” file & press “ok” button. (see pic below)
“Don’t power off STB – Writing – successfully completed” will be displayed after a few seconds if the file has been successfully downloaded to the receiver.
Press “exit” button 3 times, Cline has now been loaded to receiver & all channels should be open.
Press “ok” button & use up/down arrows to scroll through channels.
