Hi All
My mobile internal memory is almost full, I cant find any large files in there, apps account for 9GB, but I have 32GB.
I have used YouTube premium, it never did download videos into my downloads folder, used CC Cleaner pro.
I've attached a screenshot
Any help much appreciated

You have an SD card installed.
You need to tell the phone to use it, Google will tell you how

Strange that.

Is a factory reset and reinstall of everything going to be too much hassle for you? If not, that's what I'd be doing, after unmounting and removing the SD card.

Hi
Yes, I know as you see Ive filled that almost with music & Videos. That doesn't explain my internal storage full.
Much appreciated.
Because you are only counting data taken up by doccs, images app data etc, the system uses a massive amount.
You can transfer music/video onto laptop to empty the SD card then install a bigger one and put it back
Mine uses over 7gb for system and a mysterious 9gb on 'other' apart from all the regular crap

Christ knows what the 9gb is being used for, probably Chinese spies gathering data

Looks like I will have to. Ive scoured my internal memory, I can fix mobiles, but can't find a solution to this. Im concerned about loosing my passwords, etc.
Any recommendations. Ive backed up all my photos, screenshots, onto Google one drive. 100gb plan.
Ive used samsung smart switch before.
My contacts need to be stored, etc.
Cheers. Much appreciated.

The 9 gig will be system apps and updates that’s been done.
What size memory card do you have if you only have a low gig one I would look at a 64gig one and move everything over.
Uninstall any in used apps also to free up memory.
Factory resetting will wipe all data you don’t need to unmount the memory card it can be left in the phone as factory setting dosnt touch the memory card that’s only for internal memory.
Even if you do factory reset the s7 is going to take half the internal memory any way all phones take a big portion of internal storage.
If you look at your screenshot you’ve got. 8.3gig worth of apps installed

Phone needs chargin willo🤣🤣🤣 I’ve just sent my xiaomi note 10 pro back after 24hr didn’t like it
Really? I don't think 24 hours is enough to get to grips with a new phone to be fair. What didn't you like?
I haven't charged it since Friday lol

I charged mine on Friday to 100%.
Used it for about 6 hours a day since then and it's on 53% now.
I'll charge it again on Wednesday. Mines a Note 9a, cheapo but does everything I need it to

The stock android did my head in and kept getting check network connection on it so sending back even on 4g I was getting same

I must admit I spent about a day disabling stuff but it's the same with any new phone these days.
I've been debating whether to flash the pixelexperience rom but all running sweet at the moment.

You can backup your contacts to your Google account.

I'd make a note of all apps I wanted to reinstall, and download them after updating the phone itself - there might be quite a lot of updating to do on account of the age of the S7. And be ruthless, I wouldn't keep apps I didn't use often.
