Can this be proven using a sped test app??

Also doesn't align with what we found.... my mate same provider, same match same time, no vpn and his line is also supplied by the same supplier

You've ruled out lots of variables there so the only obvious one left is hard wired vs wifi. Try an ethernet adapter if your firestick is near the router, if not, just see how it goes with more regular clearing of cache. The 4k Firestick is a very capable device for iptv.
 
Could be wrong here but personally think comes down to IPTV provider and whether you have issues during footy at peak times whether using VPN or not rather than ISP throttling.

As previously when was watching games during peak times they most of them time were spot on.

But ISPs throttling at peak times is nothing new been the case for many years.
 
One of my biggest concerns with disabling all of this security related stuff is how open you are becoming to big bad Web as a whole!? Surley it's opening a door for all the bad crap to find itself onto my laptops phone etc......

What can be done to prevent this or even check if its happening/scan the pc...

Sorry slightly off topic but it's all related....

Never used a VPN on any pc or laptop.
Not used antivirus or anything else like that in about 12 years.
I do all my online banking, business, crypto, eBay, online purchasing etc, never had a problem.
Almost all of it is bullcrap designed to separate you from your money

So what about malware and virus's etc?! I often have to rebuild my laptop due to crap accumulating on it!!

You are in a very small minority pabs and very lucky not to have had issues.
 
I have a qnap nas drive and that got attacked prior to any of this by the tnzip.tar attack. Hence my nervousness....

I don't install every bit of crap on the internet.
Rebuilding due to accumulated rubbish is easily avoided through regular maintenance.
Ccleaner is about the only thing I've used in about 12 years

I've used a VPN on my box when it's been necessary but not on anything else
 
I might just be lucky but i've been around computers since the intel 386/486's, never had a virus and never got myself in any trouble online, a trojan horse virus then was a completely different thing to what it is now
