Hello,
I own an outdated Chinese Android TV BOX coolme and I'm about to make an investment to replace that. I was advised to buy an Linux running MAG. My question is why not an Android MAG?. It would be great if I could combine IPTV stability and using Android apps simultaneously, but if the price is too high and the Linux MAG is WAY too better for IPTV, I will go for LINUX MAG.

Avoid mags full stop they are being fazed out by most iptv providers as they can be hacked. Go for android formular boxes are an excellent choice. Few threads on here about the best box to buy
 
As moshi said really if you want a easy life go for a full on android box.

Even with formuler boxes some suppliers will not activate subs via mac address however with mytvonline 2 you can use xc Login or m3u. So you will be fine.

However if you are looking at a z10 there is a argument to just buy a sheild.

Don't Formuler run Android OS ? As far as I know you won't need a Mac address if you have Android. Sub you mean , subtitles?

I have an I provider who tells me to get a Linux MAG , to give him it's Mac address in order to activate the service. What should I do? Get Android tv box and install stb emu?

You are buying from a reseller with little or no knowledge to give you that advice. (shocking)

I don't think any supplier worth there salt would give you this advice. Plenty of suppliers with Greek content mate. Some you may have to just ask.

If they reply here avoid like the plague. Put a post in the appropriate section you will get personal messages. Only buy off vets or vip. Otherwise you are asking for trouble. These are generally people who have been around for a good while.

The mods have also got a lot more strict on who can have vet status.

Vets=veterans? The mark next to username? 🙃Thx for the advice , good to know 😉
 
Even with choosing VETS or VIPS take shorter subs to gather over time what you think of the service and how it works for you before committing long term.

Might work out more expensive taking shorter subs than a longer sub but you will have an idea whether the service is for you and if not you can go elsewhere when the sub expires.
