UK DVB-C/S, noob friendly explanation of what's still possible?

Hi, new here and a relative noob so please don't kill me if I come across as naive.

In 2022, what's still possible in terms of C/S? As far as i'm aware, VM is the only C option and all hope on that end seems to have been lost around 2020/2021? Is VM still an option for cardsharing or is it completely "uncrackable" now?
As for S, as far as i'm aware Sky UK, Italy and Germany have all gone dark, though I see some disucssion that UK might still be possible on these forums? Is this SD only or is it all just a big scam?

It seems now for UK TV that IPTV is the soundest option (I'm aware a good chunk of eurosats are still an option as well), but I'd like to see what other members/staff think of the state of cardsharing today. All of this stuff is pretty confusing to figure out when you haven't been in the game for 20 years lol

Cable is dead Uk and Irl so does your box has no option to switch from cable to freeview using aerial on roof for local services.

Yes crap is hitting the fans now with Sky Deutchland now gone but Movistar still clears

So is it motorised EXPENSIVE route or maybe IPTV as i have more fun on YouTube.

Do both, motorised and IPTV.

Everyone has different views and the good majority of this site are on the side of IPTV.

No IPTV will ever be as good in terms of pic quality as the source. With the Euro providers that are open making up some of the channels youll get on IPTV you dont need knowledgeable to know what will give the best pic quality. Some IPTV sources are from online services that are compressed and then compressed again by IPTV suppliers. IPTV is popular, cheap and indeed has it place for the end user. But give me a channel from source any day.

Ive got my tin hat on now. :ROFLMAO:

The easy option is Iptv, but if your able to get south at your home location with 45 degrees either way and ok at DIY,having a go at setting a dish up is worth having a go,it doesn't need to be expensive either, set it up a ground level and then move it later if you want.

A setup for eurosat is still entirely possible, but what about 28.2/Sky? It's not really clear whats..."clear" and what's gone dark.

And i'm too of the view that nothing beats the source. I'm fine settling for slightly worse and it's not like these IPTV providers are any more shady than cardsharers lol.

But any thoughts if VM will ever come back? Or are the days of cardsharing just slowly and painfully dying a sad death :( I'm of the view that nothing is "unhackable" but what do I know eh. Makes investing in an expensive eurosat setup seem pointless if they're all gonna be dark in 5 years time (give or take).

If you want sky uk your better just getting iptv, whats left on 28.2 cardshare is only sd channels and only a few work,I picked up a dish and motor and the brackets second hand from ebay for less than £20 it does not need to be expensive,Depends on what you want to watch i suppose.

I have a zone 2 dish pointed at 28 and get all the free to view channels, which is lot more than freeview from a rooftop aerial ...

Then Ive got iptv to fill the premium channels gap and keep wor lass entertained with loads of vod..
