The IPTV Crackdown Continues: A Thread For Customers Not Resellers

There’s been a few reports on other outlets about it but that was more about Scotland arrests and did mention some parts of the article you’ve just linked.
It won’t be the end of iptv in the uk that’s for certain.
Was reading some of the comments on previous articles last week and they do make you laugh.
Think it was the telegraph that first published the article then the mirror but with the cost of living ect it is driving people to find cheaper options and alternatives

Legit tv is extortionate, I'm always shocked that people pay the prices you hear about.

You usually find that the figures are over exaggerated with news articles but quite possibly true as if was four different providers they could’ve added the total amount of end users inc expired lines 😆😆

500k between 4 users including expired lines - wow :)
One guy I know is selling IPTV through a business account on Whatsapp and payments done via bank transfer :p

I won't go into details on the open forum but the word in the upper echelons of the iptv scene is that although those figures are inflated, scare tactics from the authorities, it did send shockwaves and a lot of users were left without a service.
 
What you find with the huge servers. They are owened by a few. They will have mods running it for them.

So 500,000 users to me dosent sound unrealistic. probably 75% of those users are distributed through resellers. If not more.

I can see server owners building in the security with in apps so you will be only be able to connect to server via there app.

So even if you get dns ot won't work.
 
II don't think PTV will never end ,it just might change to something else. They said the same many years ago with card sharing but it has just evolved into something else. If I had a pound for every time someone said free tv is going to end I would be a very rich man lol. As for a crack down, if you think about it ,your isp's can see your connected devices and they are not stupid,yet they do nothing. Why,because they still want your money. Even if using a VPN they can see you’re connected to an encrypted server so they can put 2+2 together. They might look at the big suppliers but they don't care about the average guy on the street.
 
It doesnt help that there seem to be a large advert campaign going on Facebook
The idiots on there are doing everything apart from giving the address of the IPTV providers

Well if you are on facebook it wont matter they have allready got you details tracking you every movement on what pages you have visited. Same with google big brother is watching :smiley:
 
i'm on sky, used both my subs yesterday and nobody knocked my door, wasn't using my vpn either, it's all , does anybody on here actually know anybody who has had the knock?

Only pubs and the actual suppliers will get the knock
No-one is going to come to your door unless you are making a fortune from selling or just being really blatant
Closest I've had was an email from fact telling me off for downloading a torrent. Vpn on and never happened again

I was with sky when all the blocks ect first come into place never got touched with a block.
There not going to go knocking on doors it’s all talk even legit sites has been blocked with no links to iptv at weekends.
Come on let’s face it are the police going to knock on Percy door for having a ✊🏼💦 to adult channels or go to a group fight with weapons and potential to take a life.
Personally wouldn’t trust any news outlet for their reports as they over exaggerate it all and no iptv certainly listens to torrent freak
 
This whole thing is to scare "normal" folks and it does work to a point. No way they are going to knock on everyones door, if they do it will be nothing more than a knock and an attempt to scare you off. They have (or should have!) much more important things to be getting on with.

The media lap it up and the misleading headlines play right into the authorities' hands!
