How do you turn off subtitles in iMPlayer? I can't see any option. I am trialing a new provider and have to use his app.

Click ok when full screen tv channel is on on the right is an icon CC click on that and you can turn subs off.

I have Closed Captions set to None.

Just says Auto or None.
Ask your provider for a different player/app.
If he hasn't got one or doesn't know how to rectify this, get a refund and find a different provider

Are subs on every channel?
I have a category with channels in that have subs enabled and you can’t disable them.

I have changed the default player from exo to vlc and I can turn the captions off but now the lip synch is out.

I have switched to VLC and the lip sync is ok but I lose the option for subs.
I am not using the app from a provider.
I'd remove the app from your device.
Reboot it. Then install it again and give it another try before booting it into touch if it's still being problematic.
It could be a corrupted install.
If its no better, bin it off and find someone else or a different player

It's only doing it on TV series, I'll try reinstalling tomorrow.

Are you that needy that you get off on likes? jeez, you can clearly see I'm a newbie, I don't usually use forums.

When playing an episode click ok on dpad then down on the dpad and choose subtitles and make sure they are off.
If that doesn’t work contact supplier.

He's turned subtitles off, this is no longer the problem.

I can see the OpenSubtitles menu but I don't have the Turn Off button like you do, just the Search button. I should have time shortly to do a fresh install and I'll post pictures of the menu.

Did you have subs on all TV series and Movies?
If not the series that you were watching may have had subs hard coded to the file.
You can’t remove subs if that is the case at your end.
You would need to ask the supplier to add a version that doesn’t contain subs.

It was on all movies/series. I have reinstalled and the issue was still present, I clicked on the OpenSubtitles section and downloaded a different one and then it said Turn Off. So it seems to be working ok now, I have tried a few different shows and they haven't come back on, just a bit glitchy I think.

I don’t use iMPlayer much as I prefer Tivimate but at least you have it working even though it is a bit glitchy.
So it just needed to be removed and reinstalled
