Solid or Mesh dish?

Hi, I am literally just about to order an 80cm motorised dish kit for my Viark 4K box, but mesh or solid dish? It will be for 28.3e 16e and 19.2e mainly.
 
Personally I would go for the mesh dish as I think there is virtually nothing in between them regarding performance and it’s going to be less time up the ladders making adjustments after we have strong winds.
 
Thank you, yes I looked at the spec on both the mesh and solid Technomate dish and the gain is almost identical like you say so I've order the mesh one. The mesh ones look better too IMO.
 
Could be wrong but can you get 16east on a 80cm dish along with 19.2 and 28.2 in a multi lnb.

I have 28,19,13 on mine , no room for for 16 .

Hi, no didn't end up with the 1m dish. Not looked into anymore until the forever server problems on 28.2e at the minute.
 
I have ordered an 80cm mesh dish with TM-2300 M3 Motor off World of satellite, I will let you know how I get on with it. Always wanted a motorised set up since the analogue days. It's the push I needed.
 
Here's tip to make up for dish size and to avoid hiccups, ie low signal get this lnb

I have them both, GM is better imo.
 
Most of the specs on these are identical
Tried various over the yrs inverto Blacks the one you have posted camexwith my pack,
basically
results on one type of LNB may be better focally on one dish make than on another.

Well its up, was far easier than I thought. Took about 5 minutes to fine tune Thor 0.8w and then all the rest were perfectly aligned. Now to get used to all these new channels to look through.
 
Okay, so my 80cm motorised dish is up. Lack of clearing channels finally pushed me into making the jump to a multi-sat set-up. And wow, what a selection of things to watch...

Only regret is not doing it sooner.
