Login/server issues - smarters, tivimate and sky glass

Hi everyone,

My services have been getting gradually worse for months and for the last few days don’t work at all.

My provider has given new login / account details multiple times and this has always worked in smarters if there have been issues.

Now regardless of if I use smarters, tivimate or sky glass I get a cannot connect to server error or similar.

My provider says all is working on their end but regardless of which app I use, if I use a vpn or not I simply cannot connect.

I’m with BT if that helps, can anyone help? I’ve tried the trouble shooting, turned everything off and on, checked isp security settings, etc
 
A certain server was closed down last week. It is reopening under a different owner I assume. That could be your issue.

If your supplier says it's working wack on a VPN that should sort it

Cheers Mike, I’ve used with VPN and without on tivimate, smarters and sky glass via Firestick- none of them will connect
 
Are child safe etc turned off at router

Is your device connected to a WiFi booster or anything like that

Have you tried the sub on mobile data?
If it’s not working with a VPN and the supplier allows you to use a VPN then I would say it’s their end.

Tell your provider to set it up on the official ibo player pro app through their website you’ll need to send him your MAC address and device key after downloading the app.

Or u can take a trial from a different provider on here and if that works fine it’s then your old provider they have turned your line off from there end.

Yes, child safe off no WiFi booster or anything.

It’s worked well for 6 months but the last 4 or so I’ve been given around 15 new logins with a few server changes.

It’s down more than it’s up. Worked for a couple hours last night with another new logins, after a couple hours no connection to the servers.

Seems the problem is on the other end, not sure if a new provider is the only real
Way forward?

Seems like you're towards the end of a 12m term so I'd get rid - unless you committed to a 'lifetime' sub, if so kudos to you and the seller for the perseverance!

I can’t believe this is as good as it gets but I’m not sure what reliability is reasonable to expect? I can understand a bit of downtime or buffering through the course of a year but I may as well not have any service and all of the logging in, out and re-finding where we were with all the series means it’s almost a full time job at the minute for something that never works!

No lifetime sub, just a 12 month which expires this December so happy to start a new sub now elsewhere to get a better service.

Downtime and buffering happens it’s the nature off it but having to send 15 different logins not normal and problem is from their end

I think having a minimum of two playlists is a good option.
If two go down together at the same time then that would be just bad luck.
 
Just look for a new provider put a request in and someone will setup and buy from a verified provider always a best option

My understanding is that a lot of these streams come from the same source, so if one goes off, so does the other, right.
As we are on the subject of sky glass. I would like to use it. Isn't it just xc player with a customized skin. All the downloader codes on youtube i've tried only give a username/password option. I need one where i can input the url.

There are many reliable streams/sources so as long as the sources are different/reliable/stable then with 2 providers - you should be sound. As mentioned above, it's just bad luck if they went down together.

Re apps - Yes, they're the XCIPTV/Smarters apps - Glass branded/skinned/themed. They're usually provider locked.

Iptv does have it's "bumps in the road" but if you've been given that number of logins and server changes in 6 months you're dealing with an inept seller.

It depends as some providers may have acquired some of the same streams from the same source . I have two providers, but they have never gone down at the same time. So I know the are totally different suppliers but I have had a channel that has stopped working on both suppliers before but suppliers should have more than one of the same channel to use as backup.
So you still are able to view that channel but it might be HD instead of FHD.
