Does anyone know where the IR receiver on the Viark is located? I have recently done work on the living room and all TV boxes and internet routers are hidden. I use an IR repeater to control the Viark which although works well it not as good as if I were controlling it directly. Just wondering if I could adjust it to improve performance.

Can you buy those usb ir things for the viark where you can expose just the tip and hide the actual receiver?

That's what ive bought off ebay, just needed to know the IR location on the box to fine tune it. All sorted now.

It does work, I'm using it right now.

Essentially you just give it a USB power supply and it just repeats any IR signal from any remote to any device. Nothing to set up, just plug it in and put the receiver and transmitter in the correct place.

Is the viark attached to a motorised dish or just pointing at 28.2e. If it's 28.2 then that package has been down for ages.

Make sure PT connected if viewing non 28.2e channels.
