Having a issue with my Ultimo4k lagging

I noticed my box was lagging a fair bit on channel changes and other funtions. I had a ATV 6.4 image that had been running well before, so didn't mess with it.
Well I tried the latest ATV 7.6.0, Openpli 9.1 and Vix 6.8.001, unfortunatley also experienced lagging on those images too, example the loading scroll rolling in the corner of the screen and taking 5 seconds to change channel or scroll down a menu. I've tried removing the USB from the box, and no change, no idea why my box is so slow, the memory is not full afaik.

Flashing an image wipes it. Factory reset does not do what the name suggests

The receiver is over 14 years old and only has a 400MHz CPU. Are you using a graphically intense skin? Is the HDD being used for the GUI or LCD picons? Have you installed many plugins? The debug log may show where it is slowing down?

I was using AX-Blue skin, not using HDD for GUI or for picons, used a USB for picons, on the old image there were quite a few plugins, but when I flashed new images, I was getting the same lagging with the image having bare bones, I've again pulled the USB out and testing to see if the lagging and freezing comes back. I'm not sure how the debug log works, is there something to look for?

Ultimo 4k is that correct ?

Certainly has a cpu greater then 400mhz if so.

You removed the usb and no difference. HDD unplug that. Still the same ?

If you are running a swap file disable it for testing.

Just giving it another test, yes it's a Ultimo4k, removed USB, and so far no freezing, not removed HDD yet, it's internal so a kerfuffle, not using a swap file.
Could it be the USB is corrupt? or something on that is slowing the box down?
