Hi mate 3years out box but I seemed to have read on forum somewhere if I not mistaken when you apply firmware for sp1 a year taken away from you and 2years left ? Thanks

Dunno why everyone making a big deal about it being 3 years sp1 or not, because iirc sp1 was for UK and IT, neither of which open anymore.

Been reading thru more off this viark sat 4k thread , and yes I have couple more questions guys I new I would , ( I mentioned earlier that hopefully my box arrives next week had to order from Spain no one in UK had in stock ,) my question when I get viark before I upload current v1.25 software to activate my three years sp1 sub does the box need to have it's firmware updated first read on this thread , firmware needs to occasionally be updated also to make sure your running on right new server so you don't loose channels ? What's the current up to date firmware for viark sat 4k ? So I can check the reciever is on latest firmware before I update to v1.25 and after I update to v1.25 do I do serial number validation code on the validation web side then ? Or before applying v1.25 thanks again guys sorry bit long winded but I don't want fff the box up .

First thing to do is flash the latest firmware which is v1.25 you can then buy a sub for premium services, but that depends on what satellites you pick up, as at the moment sky uk is still off.
Its brand-new mate. Comes with 3 years sub so no need to buy any services.
My question was really regarding the boxes (out off the box firmware version it comes with, if it's the latest that's needed to work with correct server that's currently being used , because I don't now how long ago the box was made ) thanks to previous replies and reading this thread. I now now box should come with 3years service and I need to upload v1.25 to it but also I read that I need to provide the box serial number to a validation site /website ? When do I need to do this firmware first if required (if running old firmware) then v1.25 , then provide serial number to validation web site ? Or different way round ? Thanks to all for replies

Wait a minute I'm confused so my cousin just purchased his viark brand new cos cos he also got a motorised set up and wanted at the minimum basic freeview.
I told him to get the viark because of the ability to scan different satellites esp 16.e to watch the football mainly.
Now when I got my viark I purchased the subscription to get the channels. I think I paid around 50 euros which included iptv
Does he also need to purchase the same subscription to watch 16.e?

not back on my viark sat 4k or v8 uhd, take it back.sorry. on new frequency. Only getting TNT 1HD. Assume its the freeview feed.

So how do you find out which satellites can be used when you flash a new viark receiver without purchasing the premium server
Yeah but you never needed to, you subbed when you didnt have to.
Brand new they have 3 year as soon as you install the PT firmware.
Again no purchase is needed on a brand new Viark.
Oh right so once I put the latest firmware on his receiver and update the channel lists using usb hedges one.
There will be channels in yellow that opens?
