Smart iptv app.........

Smart iptv app not working
This all im getting
My seller said theres been an update and its having issues, need to wait for it to sort it self out ?
anyone else getting this or know how to fix the problem?

This should be in the iptv section, not general chat.

I didn't know anyone still used smart iptv player, it's old hat now.

Ask your provider for his own app, if he doesn't have one, you probably need a new provider

Whats the new way to get iptv or satellite TV sports and movies etc etc ?
 
I mean that app is an old player, it's not capable of handling modern playlists.
Back when it was invented, playlists had 100 sports channels, 50 movies channels and maybe a few hundred other channels.

New iptv servers have thousands of sports and movies channels and thousands of other channels, you are asking an Austin Maestro to act like a Ferrari.

All providers have their own apps and players that you just type in your username and password and everything is in sections with EPG etc

And yes the playlist does seem very much like that
Got the usual sports channels but then got a load of others that pretty much dont work, not that im moaning im really happy with my server been with him for many years, probably why I was a little confused about your reply, ive been living under this rock for years so it seems
 
You didn't type anything.

Providers nowadays dont rely on one 3rd party player like smart iptv.
They have their own, often three or four different ones you can use. If one becomes unstable due to an update or other technical issue, you can use one of the others without even contacting the provider.

You should try a new provider because it seems the one you have is circling the drain

Don't mention your provider name or service in public.

If you got him via Google, twitter, Facebook or such likes, you may be wise to ask in this forum for a test from someone new, it doesn't mean you have to delete your existing player and iptv, you can install a new one alongside it, try afew new ones over next few days or weeks and you'll find that probably ALL of them are better than the one you are using now

My server has been brilliant and trust worthy for many years
The app is back up and running
If it ain't broken still works the way I need it to, I'll stay loyal to them, handy to know there are other options to source out should it come to a time for something new and up to date

Pabs if I'm not mistaken he should be able to get his m3u file from the smater app website as he will have the Mac code to access it. He could then use any official app like xciptv or tivimate etc

Yes that's possible but he may have to pay for another official app when he's already bought smart iptv app, unless there's free trials available?
They're not something I bother with personally, I dont think end users should pay for a playlist and then pay again for something to play it on

A lot to be said for official apps. At least they get full support if things go wrong unlike a lot of so called app developer's who won't do a thing to fix.
