Mytvonline3 questions

Just picked up a formuler Z11 Pro max BT1 and absolutely loving this box compared to my chromecast, everything is so much smoother. Not fully setup with it yet just been playing around with it before putting it on the main TV. Does anyone know if its possible to hide individual channels on Mytvonline3? My provider has a lot of duplicates in the EPG i like to hide (FHD, HD and SD versions of almost every channel and some other variations) but cant seem to find a way to do it, I can find how to hide whole categories which is useful as I do that too but nothing for the individual channels.

MYOnline3-Content Manager-Manage Groups-TV-Show & HTVide Groups
This was what I found to hide groups but couldnt figure out how to hide individual channels from within that screen, or anywhere else.

If its not supported that would be a huge shame, will need to find some other way to hide channels

I use iptveditor to curate my playlists but it’s a subscription cloud based service.
Tivimate lets you hide individual channels as will some other players.

Might not be what you want exactly but could you not just add the channels you want to favourites if you can’t hide individual channels?

Seems like iptveditor might be the best option. Will need to play around with it for a while to get it right but it looks like a really powerful tool to dial in my providers playlist to be exactly how I want it. Thanks!

To reduce unwanted groups - ask your provider for content you want, it's smaller than what you don't want.

eg USA, UK sports, English chanels

MyTvOnline3 does not allow you to hide specific channels. Only groups. Now certain providers use software that allow them to setup categories and specific channels for users. These are usually private and higher cost.

You must be on the older version of MYTV online 3

Yes. I see a few people comment you can hide categories not channels.I could find any information on how to hide channels individually not even on the Formula forum.
I don’t use the Formuler player but I couldn’t find any information on how to hide individual channels not even on their forum.
I am still unsure if it is actually possible.
Hopefully someone will post the procedure, if there is one.

It's not possible. I've used formuler for 8 years. I'd gladly be wrong though. I use IPTV Editor. Handle all the editing categories and channels from a computer. Much easier. $10 for the year for the paid subscription to use the software. Any big events I make a special category that loads to the top of the box. March Madness, Masters, currently have a special category for NHL and NBA Playoffs to make it easy.

I use iptveditor myself and if you can use that I would think you would find the setting to disable individual channels after eight years, if they actually exist.

The Formuler forum is loaded with this feature being asked for. Formuler just released MyTvOnline4 on the Z12 only. Surprisingly few issues. App is very fast. That said. Still no way to hide individual channels natively in MyTvOnline

I would have thought that is such an obvious feature to add tbh but
I guess not.
I do have iMPlayer which is supposed to be based myTVonline but I just keep using Tivimate until the wheels fall off.
It rarely gets updates but still works well for me a least.

iMplayer is an eyesore to look at. Too many button presses to do simple tasks. It's like its trying to be all app combined. TiViMate + MyTvOnline + Plex type VOD

TiVimate is the goat app for non iptv boxes like Formuler or Buzz. That said, no Timeshift on TiVimate is a no go. My friends will not use it because of that. Users who want the cheaper android boxes uses Sparkle Premium instead. The simplicity of sparkle is nice. Though app looks dated.

TiVimate is features galore and impressive with customization. That said simple seems to beat out feature rich. Give Sparkle a try. Premium version allows timeshift though its not perfect.

I don’t really use time shift tbh.
I have tried premium Sparkle but I didn’t really care for it.

The thing i like most about Tivimate is, you can have multiple playlists on the screen simultaneously. You just click on it, rather than having to go into change playlist etc. :)
