All sorted now mate. I thought i had previously updated SW but i hadnt.
for the first time ever I installed SW over the air on box yesterday vs USB - actually worked fine. (fingers crossed it continues)
Happy too, but before I do does anyone know if you can change channel lists using software? Some channels need names changing e.g. GREAT Xmas is now GREAT Mystery and its a pain in the backside using your remote.

If you selected delete channels/tp in your scan the new names should have scanned in.
Yes it is open but can be open then not then open again.
I still think they are tweaking the server for it.

It was def there as someone on SU forum has loaded it.
yeah it was there last night, i was going to do it but then went to bed - tried this AM and it's not there

Old server usually takes ages to go off after new sw.

Wasn't getting any cleared channels, official announcements on TG last night was to update as old servers due to security are not going to clear.
Highly recommend nobody installs the latest version.
Impossible to access any menu, asks for a PIN (0000) doesn't work and I can't do a factory reset either.
Very worrying as there isn't a clear route on how to put the old software on the box - can't even access the USB menu without the PIN prompt

wow !!
i just backed up my channel list too ...was just 2 secs away from loading PT 1.30
But....i got to 5% and unplugged box and rebooted before it got further ,
thankfully i got it before it loaded so still showing PT 1.29
But even before i done anything as soon as i turned on my Viark Sat 4K this morning it showed PT Server 1.55 so you wont need PT 1.30 updated s/w to get 1.55 as its already there if u had checked .
i wont bother loading this new update since it's clearly a disaster . 🙈 🙈
