Anyone have a walk through of how to record iptv on a firestick using an OTG cable and a memory stick Have read many write ups on Google,but must be doing something wrong as it always records on the firestick memory
 
I think it depends on app. And you simply set the path you want to record to. You may have to format external memory as well to fat 32
 
Cheers, using tivimate, when I click on where I want recording to go there's no option to use external drive. I'll give it another go tomorrow

I managed to get it to record using the SMB option, only problem is it records for a minute and stops, anyone any ideas

Tivimate is known for being unpredictable when it comes to recording. Any interruption in a stream and it’s likely it will stop recording.
Many say Sparkle is the better option when it comes to recording.
Do you have two connections for recording?

Have you tried using a custom recording instead?

  1. In the guide highlight the show you want to watch.
  2. Long press the select/OK button to bring up a menu on the right.
  3. Choose custom recording.
  4. Select new recording.
  5. Most of the info should be prefilled but change as needed.
  6. Select schedule recording
