Anyone know how Tivimate handles an M3U file?

That's what the Ai has suggested as the next step, might give it go and see what happens.

I've never used the Xtream function in iptveditor, does it give you a server and log in details to enter in tivimate?
Yes it gives you the option to use several different options.

Exactly, User/PW and URL for Xtream. Xtream is far more VOD friendly than M3U. You are reinventing the wheel here.

if you open playlist manager in iptv-editor and press the "i" icon on the right it gives you both m3u and xtreme options. xtreme has a server url and username and PW.

Thats almost exactly what I'm doing.

With a cheap eastern sub:

1. load into my app using xtream - curate and export to m3u - load playlist into tivimate and see what shows
2. load into iptv editor via xtream and m3u url and file (in different tests) - export to m3u - load into tivimate and see what shows
3. collate results and investigate differences

cheers
If your own list doesnt show up in tivimate with a tv section but the chinese sub does , download chinese sub in a browser then copy some lines from the TV section and compare the format in a text editor with your own to see if your list is incorrectly formatted .

General question ... has anyone managed to get an m3u file with Live tv, movies and Series managed to import it into Tivimate and have it show up as it should?

convert the m3u into xtream codes login??
I have the Xtream parms.

My software will allow me to "import" into my database only the categories I want (the sub provides a huge list, most of which I'm not interested in); once imported to my database I can then edit, merge rename, reorder etc any categories and or channels within the database.

Once I'm happy with what I've got, I can then export my database as an m3u file to my web server.

Everything works as I want it to ... Except tivimate doesn't treat the "Shows" as Series with episodes.
