Hi, I have Ford Mondeo with 6000cd rds e.o.n CD unit

unit type fd 600a 1
serial m235865

alleged keycode 3541

changed battery on vehicle, tried code in book 3 times, now on 30 min lockout

wondered if you guys might be able to help me?
 
That is the official code for that radio, however, it may have been changed by the owner at one stage or another, if you have been the owner since day one and you haven't changed it, are you sure that you are inputting it correctly?
 
Thanks wheelo. I'm not the first owner. I am inputting as follows.. press key '1' x 3; press key 2 x 5, press key 3 x 4, press key 4 x 1, press and hold key 5.
 
I'm going off the cards in the owner's pack.. I wonder if the radio itself has been changed since new? how easy are they to get out and if i do get it out, is there likely to be a serial number sticker on the casing?
 
I believe they are relatively easy to get out. there is a youtube video somewhere around here. there will be a serial number on it. it could have been changed by the original owner, can you contact him/her?

it looks like you could make the tool using a wire coat hanger, or use small precision screwdrivers.
 
4 cutlery knives and a small flat bladed screwdriver did the trick with minimal damage.

Numbers do not match the owners booklet at all.
