SOFTWARE UPGRADING STEPS:
1.Download the software, unzip it untill you see the expeedlx folder
2.Copy the expeedlx folder to one USB
3.Plug the USB to the Cloud ibox2 plus or Cloud ibox3
4.Power on
5.The receiver will read the USB folder expeedlx and update
6.Wait untill you see the front panel DONE.
7.Power off, take off the USB
8.Restart.

Hi mate,

trying to flash my box with openVic but not having much luck :(
Iv'e put the expeedlx file onto my 32gb usb stick and plugged into both usb ports at the back of the box and powered on but i get a red light for a few seconds then the blue light comes on and loads openpli which is on it at the moment.
Ive tried to completely power the box off and turn on at the mains and still the same thing :(
Any ideas??

this is not a ibox 2 plus or ibox 3. maybe you have ibox 2?

Could be your usb stick found they dont like them above 4 gig for loading new image and not all work transcend 4gig was fine.

Just as a reference, here's my recipe for flashing.

I started with OpenVix on an iBox 2 Plus. This is how I flashed this box, and this box only.

Download an image. The one I found was called OpenPLi-4.0-beta-cloud-ibox-2-plus-20140409_usb.zip
Unzip and all the files will be inside a directory (or folder if you prefer) called xpeedlx
I then did a quick format on a 4GB Kingston Datatraveller USB stick. I chose FAT32 as the format option
Drag the xpeedlx folder (or directory, if you prefer) directly to the USB stick. You need all the 4 files within the directory
After dragging, the USB stick should contain 1 directory called xpeedlx. That should contain 4 files.
Switch off the iBox 2 Plus
Insert the USB drive into the rear USB port
make sure the box has an ethernet connection (this may be unnecessary)
Switch on the iBox 2 Plus

sit back, watch.

After powering the box back on, there was a very brief (don't blink or you'll miss it) message on the front 4-digit display that said FLAS.
That rapidly changed to another message that said U-Cr
and a few seconds later, that changed to one saying U-rF
That message stayed on the display for a couple of minutes.
After that the display changed to say dOnE
Switch off box, remove USB stick

at that point the iBox 2 Plus had been reprogrammed. When it was powered back on, the display said boot and the TV screen still showed an OpenViX mesage but that quickly changed to the more familiar OpenPLi background. The TV screen went blue (no signal) a few times as the firmware configured itself. During this time the 7 segment display on the front of the box displayed LC-c.
I let the reconfiguration run its course, which took a few minutes and then the fun starts: setting up the customisations you want.

If its modern vix then should be 4 '''' or 4....
Theres no time or chnl number with them
Reflash is just same again
Make sure stick is out before box is turned off
Then insert stick
Then turn on box
Ive used 32gb sticks to flash so size isnt relevant but some work some dont

Ok. You have new flash folder. The only way to flash this is to go to download the new bootloader 29th may 14)
warning! The new bootloader works but I wouldnt load it as the only working cloud ibox 2+ modded safe image is not yet stable. You will have no way to download plugins etc. AND NO WAY TO FLASH OLD IMAGE BACK ON (I think) So my advice is stick with Helios or before
Ifor now I would find a preApollo image to use. I tried changing name of folder to xpeedlx and installing last week but remote wouldnt work after so I went back. If you are not positive that ur box came from Airsat I would avoid bootloaders at all costs unless ypu can afford to replace parts/buy new box.
If you be adventurous and fancy taking a chance let me know how you get on or if you want to wait until 12am I will be running the new bootloader (nervously) lol

For now id recommend staying old school with an image from here from last week

I have not tried this yet.

Thanks for the response. I'll use on the vix hellios, will that work? Will I ever be able to upgrade the image to a new one?

EDIT READ ABOVE
Oh yeh its no problem. You CAN now. But ive read about transistors or chips needing replaced if bootloader goes wrong. Like I said, decide if you can risk ur box. Probably nothing different that ud notice in new images anyway.
I've also added bootloader from airsat in case anyone wants to risk it before I do tonight. If its fine I'll post setup appllo 03 for 2+ on wednesday.

I used the vix it works well. I'm happy with it for now. A few more questions...

What skin do you use?
What are the best plugins?

If u used my download the plugins are already set up and I just use vix night skin. Be careful changing skins etc as not all are compatible. And always be aware these are clones and Vix doesnt even make images for these really. So the more messing you do the closer to problems u get. Do not update software on box EVER. But updating plugins is ok

Cheers, how do I go about installing my mgcamd? I've got the plugin, do I just put a usb in the box with it on?

That is something I started last night. And couldnt finish. Ive been running my nline in CCcam.cfg and using cccam.2.1.3. But cactikid says its wrong (works tho). I couldnt get the newcamd.list to work. Everytime I tried to start mgcamd 1.35 it comes up no config file found. But I have the newcamd.list and mg_cfg.bin in var/user/keys. So im afraid I cant help on this. But if you find how to please post here. Cheers

i got my box this morning and got both MGcamd and Cccam working. it took me a while but had to reflash with open vix as i couldn't download plugins with the vix image supplied. they've been under maintenance and further research i found out they were under a long time so hence the new image because i too needed mgcamd . i downloaded this plugin : View attachment 11508 and unzipped it to where ever, ftp'd the file to temp folder on sat box then: menu - setup - Vix -install from local extension. after it installs you can the ftp your newcamd list across to var/keys, you'll see a few cam examples but you can ignore them or delete them and send your line across. come out of that and start the plugin on the sat box and it should work!. thanks to sucmsee on another thread i got the jist of it and along with a couple of others too for their input, great help on this site(y)

hi sucmnsee, i'm seeing sample files - necamdlist, replace list, cccam list, priority list softcam key, ignore key. all example files that came with the zip file. they are in the var folder then keys ->/usr/keys using the DDC program.

I must have a go again later after the bootloader and setting up appollo. Thanks dude

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 60
CWS = ***tv.ddns.me ***** cust** skyuk 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan server1

this is exactly the file i have named "newcamd.list" (slightly edited with *) Have I got/not got spacing or something right? I just cut from ccc file and pasted, leaving lan server at end. But ive tried removing the lan server bit too.
properties are
type LIST file (.list)i have placed this file and a mg_cfg.bin file in var/usr/keys
installed enigma2-plugin-cams-mgcamd.1.35a_1.0-r3_mipsel
gone to softcam manager and stopped and disabled CCcam.2.1.3
but when i hit start on MGcamd.1.35a all i get is
"No config files found, please setup MGcamd first in /var/keys"

Ps I used newcamd.list from wheelo here http://www.techkings.org/vu-duo2-support/56931-enigma2-box-vix-setup-2.html
any help would be appreciated guys thanks
