Legit? What's that? The reason we are all on this thread is because we are not legit, stop trying to kid yourself on your as guilty as everyone on this thread
 
Still all fine here. Go on to your BT channel. press Menu- installation (choose TP list), edit (red button) or add (green button).
type in the details I.e 11604 29500 V. Then save. Once save, press blue to search.

Sd will end eventually as sky want all on HD and they can then shut sd down saving them a lot of money as at the moment they are paying for sat space on hd and sd.

That's just a ridiculous statement, they can't force everyone to change to hd, not everyone has an hd tv and millions still have the non hd boxes,and how can they force someone to pay extra for hd if they don't want them? Sky's losing sports to bt next yesr so the last thing they will do will be trying to lose more customers by forcing hd on them
 
Totally agree. Sly have to walk a tight rope. They can't have more people switching to freeview, bt, Virgin etc..
i still know loads who don't have HD tv. It's what they know and are happy with. If sly come a long forcing people to buy new tv's, have people coming round to upgrade boxes etc.. People are just gonna say. I don't need this hassle, all to just watch tv. And be done with sly.
will cost Sly millions. SD is expected to last for some time. I can't believe it's A Thursday and more channels haven't gone! Usually a Tue and a Thur.

Deffo contact your server. Nothing worse for members on here to come on and see more channels down when away from the tv and can't check!
especially when they arent down.
 
What are you all talking about having to buy new tvs for hd for? They can force the distribution of boxs. The boxs will work on any tv still. They wont feed them hd channels without a sub for them. Just like now. Why would anyone have to buy a new tv???

Sorry bad example. Was meaning that for some customers, they wont be bothered about HD. Also, with pushing out HD boxes, a lot of people will believe that they will need to get a HD Tv sometime soon as it would appear with pushing these boxes out, that SD will go as well. ( Not for some time mind) but looks like thats the way Sly are heading.
 
Will be interesting to see if they try it on there box office HD ahead of the big boxing event this month. Doubtful I suppose with the revenue generated anyway and if possible it could cause issue to genuine customers they are not likely to risk. But would cause a stink across the scene for sure.

Another big reason people cant all update to HD is the requirement for 2 SNB feeds, which, for various reasons, some people don't want. Especially if they have the sat dish cable sunk in their walls!
Can I also ask anyone who thinks they have lost a channel to check the updated channel list descriptions first, there you will usually find the channel you have lost has moved. Its then upto you if you rescan or download the new list.
But please check before posting!
As mentioned by someone above, we keep getting people posting here of lost channels that are not lost!

Well for me on my Amiko Alien sometimes BT 1 and 2 as well as ESPN show 'No or Bad Signal'. Then I just go up my channel list using the up arrow on my remote until I find a channel that works and then go down again to BT. And it works. But maybe that's my STB.

My Skybox F5s does the same with a few channels,..mainly BT1.HD..BT2.
HD..ESPN HD and Sky sports news HD.
i update the channel list and they come back..strange

Sly don't really need to force people to HD. Just develop and distribute a box that current SD customers must use upon annual renewel. It shouldn't cost the customers anything.

When sly can do that efficiently and effectively its over for SD too using current methods anyway
