The new firmware works fine on the V6/V8. I don't know where you have read that it's broken.
Perhaps you mean the F3s/F5s firmware. That has the 1 hour "summer time" bug.

It's a firmware update to fix the XMLTV EPG.
It removes youtube & youporn, although I doubt many people use them.

Does anybody know if there is a fix yet to the summertime bug? I have a full EPG now which is great, but the times dont match up so it pretty much useless at the moment. Anybody got a way round it?

I must admit to being somewhat confused as mine, V8se, also has a time problem. Some threads say its only v5 that has the summertime issue and that there is no issue with v6 / 8. Have I flashed the wrong update of 190515?

Is your problem exactly the same as the V5s (i.e does it show the correct time, but the programme info is 1 hour out)?
19/5/15 is the latest. It's not possible to flash V5s firmware onto the V6/V8/V8se.

The time shows correctly however when I try to select a program it pops up a message saying event expired

Been following the threads on EPG problems, as I had with my V8SE. The last reply I had said to install new firmware. I read your comment on downloading it from www.yojiatech.com/ which I did & it updated but hasn't populated the XMLTV guide. Will the above fix be the solution I need?

Then format a key to FAT32,go to a fta channel, insert your formatted key in rear usb socket. Now go menu-- network settings---apps,locate WMLTV, open--change to internet,United Kingdom auto upgrade on and away you go--exit when complete--I always reboot box.
Remember----------LEAVE THE USB KEY IN.

Following on to my last message. I thought I'd try the fix anyway, so I followed your download instructions & it worked perfectly. Fantastic!! Now my EPG works properly. I've lost the youtube/youporn apps but I don't use them anyway.
One little query. After it completed I took out the USB stick & the times all went to zero. When I put it back they were all correct. As I bought a HDD to record from do I need to go through the process again using my HDD in place of USB? Or do I have to leave the USB in permanently?

If you are going to use the HDD then you will need to format it and go thru the epg process again.
Leave the key in the back slot and put the formatted HDD to the front slot for your recording..
There is a later f/w to restore apps but I would leave while you are ahead lol
