Fire stick or Now TV

i bought the firestick ( couldn't resist at the price tbh ) s/l kodi works excellent , watched "love thy neighbor" on the uk turks repo with the wife last night, ffs :eyes: how did they get away with it then !! never mind now :lol:
 
I've got / had 2 tv sticks ,
What naked the tiresticks better ?
Do they come with a remote?
I just use them for kodi .

the sticks work over wifi mate, just connect to your network, mine wasn't "naked " as you put it, i just bought it & within a hour was loaded up with kodi, it works a treat & yes it comes with a remote

What makes the fire stick better than what ? All devices have their pros and cons. Just that right now the fire stick has an advantage in price, ease of use, power consumption and ability to access Amazon prime. It still has it down sides like its unofficial so Amazon could block Kodi with a software update, there is no stop on the remote and you need a PC to configure. Other devices have pros and cons, just need to decide what is important to YOU.

And yes it comes with a basic remote but no stop button on it. You can either use a ios or Android remote control or get yourself a bluetooth keyboard.

i agree with that mate, i have had android boxes in the past but really tried to sort this firestick out, i installed kodi & all i have on it are uk turks,sports devil,maintenance tool, movies hd & genesis , runs smooth as anything , a 100 x better than the box ever did , i know its early days but it aint flickered at all & used it every night since i had it , never seen a game on it yet though so tomorrow will tell, just my opinion but i think people get kodi, clog it up to the hilt with repos & it turns to chit , mine is smooth as anything & im quite chuffed tbh lol, also why would you need a stop button ??

Indeed, too many people have too many plugins then complain about it being slow. As for stop button, useful when you want to stop playback.

don'tyou just hit the "stop" on the screen on it ? that's all i do, never even missed or thought about a "stop" button tbh

Thanks; i have done that but only kodi i could get to work was third party "wookie" is there a download for KODI that is plug n play?
 
The firestick wins hands down get apps2fire from the google playstore install Kodi+theblackboxostv+live soccer tv and dont forget firestarter
 
Yes blackbox is great I did have droidking but when I upgraded my phone I couldn't load the repo then got mxq with blackbox installed and now have it on all my devices
 
Could anyone point me in the right direction for a tutorial on how to set up a firestick with kodi, Genesis, Phoenix etc from scratch? I know you can buy pre loaded ones but they're double the price! Thanks, Ash
