Hi, All.

THIS IS FOR 28.2E SATELLITE

I've been doing some digging and looking around my current set-up on my VU+ DUO 2 box

I have SNP picons 400x170 dark on transparent, downloaded directly from picons.xyz; I have the latest ones, however there are quite a few missing picons...

In the same case, I use MK's brilliant set of picons, downloaded and available directly from Openvix website; as brilliant as these are they're are still a number of them missing

Over the past week or so I have set a little project for myself, to have all picons available for both TV and Radio

And I want to share these with you awesome people to complete your picon set.

I believe all missing picons are included in my download; over 300! This includes those where the service name has changed; some are also marked as service referenced picons due to a few radio channels having the same name as the TV channel.

I have also included all missing radio channel picons and picons for future channel additions and changes

There are also a few bouquet picons too.

Update 22.07.2016

UPDATE :

Some picons do not work on previous upload due to mis-named or radio channel having same service name as the tv channel version; i.e Magic (music channel) and Magic (radio channel)

These have been changed to service referenced picon

tested and working

ftp to your box and overwrite existing if prompted

They look awesome mate; otherwise I would not waste so much time creating them haha!

Also you may want to check out MK's picons, they are great - you can get them from the openvix website directly.

mov4men + 1 now changed to movies4men +1

Talking Pictures TV now changed to Talking Pics TV

CHILLED TV now changed to CHILLED

CS Summer now changed to ChrtShw Summer

Bloomberg now changed to Bloomberg TV

Inspiration now changed to Inspiration TV

Sonlife now changed to Sonlife TV

BBCR5L now changed to BBC Radio 5 L

BBC Asian Network now changed to BBC Asian Net

Smooth now changed to Smooth Radio UK

Hi I can't be 100% sure as I've never had any experience with amiko boxes however if it is enigma2 and are able to use other picots, then these should work on your box.
Just might want to make a backup of your image or current picons before trying, just to be on the safe side

I've never bothered with picons on my vu+ zero so my question is - how do i do this? I know i have to ftp the files across my usb, but to what folder? Do i need to create a folder called picons? And after i transfer them across do i need to go into epg settings to enable them?

Hi yes you can use USB, format the stick as fat 32 and create a folder in the USB called picon with a small p and no s at the end, just picon

Put the picons in the folder and make sure you safely remove the USB from your PC

Unplug and put in the back USB of your receiver

Should mount automatically but if not mount manually in settings.

Reboot your reminder and they should load on automatically

You may need to change the settings in epg and infobar anything that says service name change to Picon or picon and service name

in theory yes, but make sure you unmount the usb from your box before pulling it out as it may cause problems for the usb or the box

remember to create a separate folder called picon and place the picons inside the picon folder

also make sure you safely remove the usb from the laptop before removing and plugging back into your box

when you've plugged it back in, reboot your receiver and then check to see if the usb has mounted; if not; mount it manually (it should mount automatically but they don't all the time)

after reboot with the usb in the receiver the picons should display provided you've changed the appropriate settings to show picon or picon and service name

first time i changed my skin on solo2 but cant see your picons mk listed,

all down to user preference and how safe you want to be really with mounting devices but i've always kept box on and mounted/unmounted from the menu but have always rebooted once unmounted/mounted

i am creating a full picon set for lcd and snp epg/infobar picons but is very time consuming and with constant service name changes too, may take some time but getting there slowly, think i am on letter J so almost halfway there :)

bad idea to install/remove usb as you will brick boxes if powered on ,flashing boxes usb are not mounted.
costly mistake if using expensive box hence the warning to all👍

yes can do mounts easily

NEW GD-Picons - FULL SET **Regularly Updated** Sat/Cable/Fsat/Fview/IPTV & more......

Hi, Everyone!

So after approximately 5 weeks or so, I have finished the COMPLETE set of LCD picons for 28.2e sat, cable, freesat, freeview + extras

These I have created, inspired by MK's brilliant picons, which can be found on Openvix.co.uk

My set includes ALL channels for Sly, Virmin, Freesat, Freeview and more

Also includes Bouquet picons and Adult sections

Tested each one by one on a Vu+ Duo 2 - No channels missing - all have the LCD picon

Also includes Sky Cinema Fairy Tales and HD which changed service name just hours ago!

As with any changes or updates, I recommend performing a backup before using

All you need to do is download the zip, extract it to your desktop or downloads folder, open your FTP client, navigate to your picon folder and ftp/drag and drop these png files over to your box.

After unzipping you are presented with one folder named : gdpicon-400x240-FULL-set-15082016

Inside that folder, are 4 sub folders entitled : Adult-Censored , Adult-Uncensored , Bouquet, Picon

Don't ftp the folders, only the png files

Choose if you want to have Adult picons, if so, choose whether you would like uncensored or censored versions - open the folder and ftp the files over.

Next, if you would like bouquet picons, open the folder and ftp the png files over to your box

and finally the last folder, Picon, open it up and select all, and ftp over to your box.


All picons in this set have the very latest and current logos

I will always update picons when there is a service name change / addition or logo update

I am also open to requests, if you would like me to create a particular picon, please just ask
or if you would like an alternative picon to one already included, e.g. background , this can also be arranged

Please note this pack contains adult content - if you do not wish to see or use adult picons/content, please ignore or delete the folders containing adult content - adult picons are only inside where it states adult, the normal picon and bouquet folders do not include adult content

I can't post the full preview as far too many but pack does include all channels; it has been tested but if you find one or two are not showing please let me know

Missing bouquet picon for Virgin UK BT Sports Interactive

Updated bouquet picon for Sky UK Bt Sports Interactive - old version, error in picon displaying Sky Sports opposed to BT Sports

Sky Fairy Tales - updated for cable - named Sky Fairy and Sky Fairy HD

BT Sport Mosaic 2 added for 28.2e

Sky Sports Republic of Ireland 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 added

All above included in the below downloads

Available for LCD screen and SNP infobar/epg

FTP to your correct picon folder(s) and if you are prompted with an overwrite question, select yes to update older picons

FYI - Sky Greats changes again on Monday to Sky Star Trek and Sky Greats HD to Sky Star Trek HD, these have been made available in the original full pack downloads
