Do you guys want the 3 program info bar. It's not something I plan to put in the proper version because again I think the snr and what tuners are free are more useful than the 3rd program. I really don't watch that much tv to care what is on in 3 hours time.

Yep I'd like to make use of the 3 program info bar if possible kiddac.

Yeah id prefer the 3rd program inplace of the snr/tuner. You could always move the snr value and tuner symbol back onto the same bit where it used to be next to the DD symbols etc.

Do u think ull incorporate my splash screen on the bouquet launch screen? Because if someone wrote a wee python script it would update it with new programmes for Todays Picks images daily/weekly as would only be replacing the toppicks1-6 png files.

The 3 doesn't do it for me, the balance looks weird like that. It's not like you can do anything with them
only see what is coming up

For mine if you download all the files in my dropbox link above ull have all my mods - and this includes the mymods file that you mentioned.

All you have to do is create a folder in the slyk-1-hd folder called skyicons and copy all the files from my dropbox that are in the same named folder. The other files (extras.xml, mymods.xml and skin.xml) just go into the slyk-1-hd folder. The last file i have there is one called tv-picon goes into slyks mybackground folder as this is used to have a pure transparent background to the picons within the channel selection feature.

In my mymods file i have the following mods

Picons on main/other menus
Official sky epg menu
Layout 4 on channel selection screen for crossepg users
Non scroll bars for pressing red(options) in epg
Non scroll bars for pressing record on epg

Hey Gman, had a play around with your files, one little amendment i made was to call your layout 4 on the channel selection screen 2 instead, that means you dont need to edit the extras file and if you remove the mymod file the box will still boot ok, if the extras file is set to look for layout 4 it blue screens without the mod file in place ;)

finally got something added to the extras file

so now a custom logo can be dropped in to the mods folder
its a small start

as i want to add all my mods to the extras file then you can turn them on and off as you want

Loving the mods so far, keep up the good work guys and hopefully the epg screens will work eventually ie left right and selection of the category within

Hi, I have updated to the latest slyk v5 ipk (updated 4/9) and gave your mods a whirl tonight, many thanks for sharing.

I guess i was worrying too much for nothing, I took kiddac's advice and extracted the ipk on my laptop and played around with the files before transferring to the box.

it has worked a treat so far :) I amended a few of the pictures on this screen gman, hope you don't mind



All i really want to do now is change the red and green button text when on epg, and the text after pressing red i'm presented with 'add timer' or 'add autotimer'; is there a way i can change the red button text at the bottom left from 'options' to 'suggestions' and the timers to 'record' and 'record series', and the green from 'recordings' to 'planner'?

@Kiddac i agree it would be very useful if possible in a future update to give us the option maybe in extras to show snr+tuners or 3rd event!

willo the screenshot you shown is GraphicalInfoBarEPG in epg.xml

gman splash screen will not be included as the bouquet selector screen has a purpose.

Sorted now thanks... got rid of all the nasty 12 hour references and got it all in mymods.xml (which is longer than the bible)
I will be able to shrink it down hopefully now it works for everything and I learn to trim the unnecessary bits out.

You should have searched for skyhdtime on your computer to find all files with it in it.
i use wrangler and it has a replace all
very quick

Hey folks, in the main EPG the program synopsis starts scrolling up after a few seconds which is great. Is there any way to slow the scroll speed or is that not a skin function?

The name of the RGYB buttons have just been changed, red is still the option, yellow and blue still +24 & -24 change made in epgselection.py
