ok will do... also - in the EPG is there a way for programs to be categorised ? also i notice when im in the MENU the full of the screen is stretched to far.. cant for the life of me find the setting to adjust screen rez..

Hi. Firstly I apologise for what will be very obvious questions to many, but my first box will be arriving this week, a Technomate TM-Nano-SE M2 PLUS Enigma 2 Linux HD PVR Digital Receiver.
I'm reading through what appears to be a very comprehensive guide (many thanks).
1) Is this guide and the files that are linked on this thread correct and up to date for this box?
2) With regard to the quote above, I live in a remote place with no telephone landline, therefore my internet access is via mobile internet. I have ordered a TP-Link Mobile Router which I will link by Ethernet cable to the TM box. Because of this I did not buy a WiFi dongle for the box. Will I still be able to connect my PC if the PC is also WiFi linked to the router or do I have to have a WiFi dongle for the PC and TM box to talk to each other?

The mg.cfg provided in this guide causes issues with some routers due to a certain line in it, there is a fixed version in the downloads section on here or if you give me a short while I can provide the details on what needs changing.

If you want to fix your own the line that needs to be changed is:
L: { 00 } 172.16.1.1 28007 /tmp/mgcamd.log
Make sure it's 00 not 03

Re flash by USB, or see if you can get away with a reset to factory default settings.
Was it ok before you put the skin on ?
I have seen loads of posts on skins causing issues with Zgemma boxes.
I don't use them as they can slow the EPG down.
You could try the mg_cfg file modification after a re flash and see if it sorts it but the file has been used many times without any issues
that's why it hasn't been changed, and it's not conclusive if the file is the cause of the issue. Just be aware the guide had already been in use
for over 18 months before the modification was mentioned, just sayin like 👍
Go back a few pages to post #642 and have a read.

If it's the issue with mg.cfg then stopping the cam from the soft cam menu should allow you to connect again, you may need to restart the router.

I can only speak from my own experiences but I've seen the issue many times on different boxes and routers and have seen it mentioned on the forum, if you look at what that line in the config does you can see why it causes issues and it's unlikely to be something you want enabled anyway.
